The following list of subscription databases are available to all current Mercyhurst University students, faculty, and staff. Off campus users may be asked to enter their Mercyhurst username and password before accessing the databases. AccessMedicine is an innovative online resource that provides students with access to more than 50 digital medical titles from the best minds in medicine, updated content, hundreds of photos and illustrations, a self-assessment feature, diagnostic tools, a comprehensive search platform, and the ability to download content to a mobile device. Updated frequently by world-renowned physicians and expanded continuously. In order to make use of the mobile site, users need to register for a My AccessMedicine profile from any on-site computer. Once they have done so, they will be able to log on to the mobile site using their My AccessMedicine username and password.
Indexes over 8,200 journals in a broad range of academic disciplines. Full-text content is provided for over 4,600 of those journals, including over 3,600 peer-reviewed publications.
Access World News provides diverse global perspectives on topics related to controversial issues, the environment, health, education, science, the arts, literature, business, economics, criminal justice, and more from a variety of current and retrospective news media including newspapers, newswires, broadcast transcripts, blogs, periodicals, videos and web-only content. America's Newspapers from NewsBank provides full-text articles from the electronic editions of record for more than 600 U.S. newspapers.
